    The anatomy of a move

One letter changes. The word survives.

A ladder is a chain of small, legal moves. The solver checks every rung, then searches level by level for a shortest route in its current word list.

    What is a word ladder?

A word ladder turns one word into another by changing one letter per step while keeping every intermediate step a valid word.

Does the solver always find a path?

No. A path can be absent from our pinned licensed dictionary even when another dictionary contains one. The result always states that limitation.

    Are these official game answers?

No. Game guides are independent editorial resources and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the games or their developers.
